For the public
Are my communications with advertisers private?
Your communications are directly between you and the advertiser and are subject to their own privacy policy. SponsorFeedback does not capture, read, or store the content of your messages to advertisers. We only track whether a feedback action was initiated, not what was said.
Can advertisers pay to have negative feedback removed?
No. This is a core principle of SponsorFeedback. Advertisers have no ability to pay for removal or suppression of feedback activity on this site. The data you see reflects real consumer engagement, not paid placements.
Why isn't my favorite show listed?
We currently track 134 shows, prioritized by popularity and Monitor availability. As our community grows, we add more shows. If you'd like to see a specific show added, the best way to make that happen is to become a Monitor and watch it yourself.
How current is the advertiser data?
Our data is updated continuously by our Monitor community as they watch shows live. Advertiser rosters change frequently — brands often rotate in and out of a show's schedule — so the data reflects what our Monitors have seen in recent weeks, not historical archives.
Do you track newspapers, websites, or radio shows?
Our current focus is television. We have plans to expand to other media types as the Monitor community grows. If this is important to you, becoming a Monitor is the best way to help make it happen sooner.
For Monitors
What is a Monitor?
Monitors are approved volunteers who use our Watch Mode tool to track TV commercials in real time as they watch their favorite shows. They confirm existing advertisers and submit new ones, keeping our database accurate and current.
How does Watch Mode work?
Before a show starts, you open Watch Mode on your phone, tablet, or computer and select the show you're about to watch. During commercial breaks, you tap the advertisers you see from a list of known sponsors. If you spot a new advertiser not in our database, you can add them with a few taps. The whole system is designed to keep up with the pace of live television.
How do new advertisers get verified?
When a Monitor submits a new advertiser, it goes into a pending queue. A second Monitor who also watched that show must independently confirm they saw the same advertiser before it goes live on the site. This two-step verification ensures data quality and prevents errors or bad submissions from reaching the public.
How do I become a Monitor?
Fill out the short application on the Become a Monitor page. We review all applications and respond within 48 hours. Once approved, you'll receive a welcome email with instructions to get started.
What are Monitor badges?
Monitors earn reputation points for every advertiser they confirm (1 point) and every new advertiser they successfully add (3 points). Points unlock badge levels — New Monitor, Verified Monitor, Top Contributor, Show Expert, and Elite Monitor. Higher badges reduce the number of verifications required for your new submissions and eventually grant instant-approval privileges.
